I agree.

I've been thinking about how communities evolve with the times. For some reason people still believe that communities can just run themselves — this is far from the reality. Sure, it may be possible, but it rarely happens. There is always someone, or a small group of people taking on a load of the work.

I've used and still use 'co-creation', but more recently I've started using 'creativity' as something communities need to be thinking more about. To keep things alive, fresh, interesting, they need constant creativity. Whilst some underlying things will never change, the need to change creatively with the times is essential.

I think money is a big part of it, as a society we need to get better at understanding that communities need money to support those that lead (often) unselfishly.
